Must Do Winter Activities in Indy!

Share the love:

Looking for something fun to do this winter season?  The team at Indy Podiatry rounded up some of our favorite places in Indianapolis.  Beat the cold and try one of these fun activities!

1. Christkindlmarkt

The Carmel Christkindlmarkt has brought the old-world charm of Christmas in Germany to Carmel, Indiana. The Carmel Christkindlmarkt is an open-air Christmas market in traditional German style.

Christkindlmarket is located between The Palladium and The Tarkington Theater in Carmel and is open to the public Wednesday- Sunday evenings.

2. Conner Prairie: A Merry Prairie Holiday

Celebrate the season with A Merry Prairie Holiday. Back for its third year, experience one of Central Indiana’s most beloved holiday events and make some new family traditions.  Activities include Kringle’s Carosel, Selfies with Santa, and the Reynolds light display.

3. Christmas Nights of Lights: Indiana State Fairground

Christmas Nights of Lights is returning to Indianapolis for the 2021 season! Come see over 1 million lights synchronized to traditional and newer, rocking Christmas music played through your car stereo.  Grab your family and load up the car to drive through this dazzling display.

4. Igloos at Urban Vines

Rent an igloo at Urban Vines in Westfield between November and March! A snowy day, great friends, great wine and a heated igloo for privacy! Igloos are a fun activity to stay warm but still enjoy the season.

5. Christmas at the Zoo

Dating back to 1967, the Indianapolis Zoo was the first zoo in the nation to hold a holiday lights event. Year after year, Christmas at the Zoo continues to grow.  Enjoy the light displays, Santa’s village and animal encounters!
